Proxy fitting file scale

Postby JESTERRRRRR » Tue Mar 02, 2021 12:52 am

Hello.

Could someone help me with understanding part of the proxy fitting file (.mchlo, version 1.0 before it used normals).

There is a part where two verts and a scale is listed:

Code: Select all
x_scale 5399 11998 1.4800
z_scale 962 5320 1.9221
y_scale 791 881 2.3298

In the wiki it is describes this as:
The scale parameters define a bounding box referencing vertices on the human between which the proxy should be scaled. They are modified in makeclothes by selecting a clothing part.

I have tried to implement this and found, when using teeth for example, that the teeth end up small and slightly distorted. When ignoring the scale values entirely I get a seemingly perfect fit.

Could someone explain in more detail to me how these values are to be used? Am I correct in assuming the bounding box would be defined like this for example:

Code: Select all
x_scale 5399 11998 1.4800  #x extents of box = 5399.x and 11998.x  (the number being the vert index in the base mesh not the proxy)
z_scale 962 5320 1.9221    #z extents of box = 962.z and 5320.z
y_scale 791 881 2.3298     #y extents of box = 791.y and 881.y

Thanks

EDIT: I have got a somewhat better understanding from the source, anyway I no longer need the help, thanks.
