How active is Makehuman?

Postby bl00dyspl0tch » Fri Mar 06, 2020 5:48 pm

Is this project still going strong?
Has it stalled?
Is Blender 2.8 a big deal?
Is blender 2.79 still fully supported or for some features is 2.8 necessary?

I haven't looked into it for a long time, but always have a copy around.
I like the mesh change from a couple years ago, they are very nice now.

Most features work in 2.79, but there are separate mhx2 needs.

The fourth alpha of the upcoming 1.2.0 release was made available less than three months ago. We would have released beta 1 these days, but have run into an unexpected issue with new dependency versions of pyqt.

Another indication of how active we are can be found by going to the various sub projects of https://github.com/makehumancommunity and check the commit logs.
