Possible "issue" with MH UV map (FAIRLY NSFW)

Postby SaltyCowdawg » Mon Dec 30, 2019 3:04 pm

I noticed something odd today when I was messing about with HairNet. (possibly more on that later) HairNet had complained the body mesh did not have any seams which I'm thinking it does given I can view the UV map which I am pretty sure could not have been made without seams and unwrapping. (feel free to correct my assumptions)

When I looked at the UV against the skin texture something became obvious to me

The UV/Mesh where the genitals are is in a different place than the texture is. Am I right?

Not that for my purposes it makes any difference but I'm sure someone out there might care. (Medical illustrator?)

I'm not even sure it has a fix but I noticed it and my OCD kicked in.,

The skins with genitals were created for an older version of MH, which had a detailed UV map in the position you've noted. Look in the user-contributed assets for the remapped proxy I created, which makes use of that portion of the skins again. The "obj" file from that asset can also be used with the "healed" proxies created later by another contributor.
