Are you running a laptop? I got the same thing and had to force the pythonw.exe file inside of appdata/local/makehuman-community/python (you can see it as the first part in the properties of the shortcut) to use my discrete graphics card.
If you have administrative rights, it is generally easier to install for all users. Then, the appdata folder does nto become an issue.
