How can I transform a nominal scale into ordinal?

Variables such as those on the Face are nominal in nature, I would like to know if there is a way to transform it into a numerical scale.

Your goal makes no sense. Nominal scales by definition have no order (e.g., just names like the blood types A, B, O, AB). One is not greater than the other. Ordinal-level scales include the intrinsic concept of order (but not necessarily magnitude to that order (e.g., low<medium<high). Something is either nominal or it is ordinal; conversion is impossible.

Perhaps you can rephrase so we can grasp your goal.
