In particular I was wondering if there was a Blender 2.80 update for the wonderful make human tools or any other updates. I am in the process of upgrading to 2.80 and would love to have such wonderful and helpful tools.
Thanks, and have a great day!

Our blender plug-ins do not work with 2.8 yet as blender's Python API still has not stabilised completely.

Enjoy the Choice :)

mhx2, the socket and makewalk (https://bitbucket.org/Diffeomorphic/makewalk) were ported to B28, though there might problems due to api changes during development. And I didn't perform in depth tests with MakeWalk, but it seems to be working...

It seems ?
For me with the currently availabe download on bickbucket, 1 line need to be changed in the file load.py for makewalk to work in blender 2.8 rc2.
context.scene.update() into context.view_layer.update()

But the legs are crossed during animation.

Is there any update for when this might be ported? It is a very useful tool and switching between versions of blender isn't particularly efficient.

The Makehuman plug works fine in Blender 2.8 for me...it has almost from the get go or since about Jan. Not sure about Makewalk or Makeclothes, but the animation and nodes all work when importing into Blender 2.8. Sure you have to do some work on the material nodes to make everything look nice...and to fix any broken links or poorly made assets - but it was like this in 2.79. I've just tried to look through my favorites for the github link where I got the plug from - I've got over 2000 (I'm an arts researcher lol) - but it could be anywhere on a multitude of lists. I got the link from this forum though, so do some digging.

Oh, and as a workaround...Blender 2.79 now has the most important feature of 2.8...well imo - this is the ability to use the CPU and GPU for rendering. You can download the zip from the Blender site.
