Specific Values for Human Height

Postby ScrotieFlapWack » Tue Aug 21, 2018 3:44 pm

Is it possible to give a specific value to the height parameter?

I can't find any way to do this so I'm forced to guesstimate the measurements of all the other components of the human model to reach a total height that I want. It would be a lot easier if we could just type in the desired overall height of the model.

The short answer is no because the "height" is not absolutely accurate in the engineering sense. It is accurate in the artistic sense.

That said, the way to adjust height is to use the height slider after setting gender to its final position. For example, you might want a female of 140 cm. In model main, set the gender to female. With a little care you can set the height slider to get within a cm of 140, say 140.41. Then, go to modeling | measure and set the neck height to the difference needed to get 140 cm for the overall height. Trying this with some different targets I could usually get with 0.01 cm of the target.

Not precisely what you are after, but maybe it will work for your application.
