FBX Export Faces Under Clothes?

Is there a way to FBX export hidden faces under the clothes?

Yes. On the geometries tab as you are placing the clothes, uncheck the "hide faces under clothes" radio button under options on the left panel. This might (depending on your clothes and model) make the model "poke through" the clothes.

You will then have to slightly adjust the clothes to your specific model, once imported into Houdini. Of course, the clothes will only need to be "custom fit once", but this is the price for fitting clothes to widely varying body types AND keeping the underlying skin intact.

Thanks Rob, I'll look for that setting the next time I am exporting. I noticed one bit of clothing, the MAGA hat did not remove faces underneath. Is the setting linked to each piece of clothing? Can the author of clothing set that flag on the asset?

The asset creator must define a vertex group called 'Delete' on the human mesh in order to work.
