Making Mask & Socks for Proxy in Blender

Postby makeedward » Sat Oct 03, 2015 11:17 pm

I attempt to make a Spider-man proxy like user R45k0ln1k0w as shown in the picture. I attempt to make the faceless mask with no mouth & ears & fused socks with no toes similar to his using Blender but no avail. I contacted him in his Spiderman message board but he haven't been logged in for sometimes. Any advice would be appreciated.

What you need to do is a re-topology, so that you can create the Spider-man mesh that you need.
Blender isn't really the greatest for this; most people use ZBrush.

Can you find a drawing of the head that you can size to the Makehuman body mesh? Use that as the background image in Blender. That way you can create the mask you will need. If you use Blender, you will probably need to view a tutorial on YouTube, as the retopology tools in Blender are quite sophisticated now.

I'm figuring out if he did that to make the mask & the sock-like boot before or after he used male generic base & used male muscle topology to bake the normal map as seen in his thread http://www.makehumancommunity.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12021. I'm gonna have to find & try the retopology tool then.
