Why would you say that?
When you click the export tab in MakeHuman, the format that is proposed as default is Open Collada (DAE), the most open and well-spread format for exchanging 3D content. The list of tools that support it is endless.

Only a few cm under that, you find the option for FBX export, the other giant in the world of 3D formats.

If all else fails, you can still export to OBJ.

With these formats, you can surely export to 99% of all 3D applications out there.

Because a few messages back someone told me I need to turn force version off and then I'm told that's only available in MHX and then I'm told that's only available to Blender users.

Hello Ghastly...I think you and Duststorm are getting off to a bad start. I know you are/were a contributor on the MD forums, and perhaps you could help MH with your 3d Coat knowhow. :)

To further a positive discussion, here is an Open Collada export with the very latest rig.

http://www.geekopolis.ca/collada/ginaCarano1.dae

Tomorrow, I'll add a version with the older rig, but the very latest muscular mesh (which for my uses is the best of all the meshes to animate, especially in the shoulder joint). Stable and unstable versions of MH cannot coexist on the same partition in Ubuntu Linux. :geek:

Clearly you misunderstand.
Anyway, as we are telling you in the last three replies, You can export from MH to any 3d software, using DAE and FBX.

Thanks Manuel. And here Ghastly, is a true masterpiece, the new muscle mesh. I modelled after Gina Carano just before she lost to the Cyborg.

Any ETA on when the new mesh will be officially released. I've learned from being burned with the A7 mesh not to support anything until its release is official.

There is no new mesh.
We have an unique base mesh, stable and already released in MH1.0, that will be always the same for MH 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc...

Then MH provides a feature to convert the base mesh in a meshes with different topology and purposes.
We call this feature "alternative topoogy" :
http://www.makehuman.org/doc/node/makeh ... ogies.html

The new "alternative topologies" are already released in nightly builds (official UNSTABLE release).
So ETA = 0.

If you re waiting for stable release, it will be included in 1.1. In this case the ETA is here (but we can modify it depending the resources):

But remember that it depends by the resources. In case of variations we will update the link above.
