Only the toes of the generated Human is weight painted?

Postby ermelious » Tue Aug 27, 2024 9:15 am

Is there a reason why only the toes of the model is weight painted? Does the version 2 of this plugin in Blender automatically weight paint the character or is weight painted not handled by the plugin and we have to do it ourselves?

When you are generating a model, you need to tell the machine what to weight paint. This is done in the helpers menu within the rigging settings. Check all the boxes under weights and the model will be painted head to toe, left to right, fore and back. Save the weights to a file. Then you can hit create human.

What we see on the screenshot could also be a result of simply not having selected he right vertex group.

Go to the "Object Data Properties" (green triangle icon) and select another vertex group.

Indeed, you are spot on, Sir. I learned something from you today.

All of the groups must be selected to get a full body weight paint.

Once the weights are saved to a file and stored with the model, all is good to go.
