Any way to calculate the "body weight" of MH characters?

I was just wondering (even tried googling using health calculators for weight/body fat percentage/height for dieters - but no go) is there any way to calculate my character's body weight based on my model's heights/weight percentage (say, my character, an alien boy, age 12 has a height of 61.05 inches, muscles at 0.00 %, and weight at 50.00 %) to get its body weight (like, say, if I have a scene in my movie where my character goes to hospital, gets weighed, and they tell the character what his weight is) so it'd be convincing to the audience (even if some medical professionals happen to be watching my movie)?


if there is such a way, how do I calculate this?

There are no absolute correct weight measures in MH since weight depends on a lot of factors, not just body dimensions.
It depends on factors like muscle mass, fat mass, bone mass, etc.
To arrive at completely correct measures you'd have to model the entire internal body.

But there are some simple formulas based on body surface area and volume to attempt to give a better estimate than BMI does. These methods try to account for fat/muscle mass in some naive way.

If you know your way around python programming, the mesh_operations module offers a simple API for calculating the surface and volume of the human body. There is also an example plugin in the thread that you could try out, it might just work out of the box.
