i am actually still seeing some errors with that,
i have posted an image
do you happen to know if they fixed the shade issues cause before with rc1-rc4 they had shadow render issues where the shadows were not smooth
but i actually might have found a way around the whole texture alpha problem...
that i'll talk about once the shade issues have been fixed.

Oh, I did not see that. I just knew. I wonder whether this will be fixed in the 2.46 final.

Thank you for a very helpful tutorial. I appreciate the effort that went into it.

I am, however, having problems with the rigging and armature. The same problem is described earlier, but I don't see a solution. After I make parent and move the amature in Pose mode, the amature moves and some of the mesh moves, but most of it stays in thesame place and stretches. I.E. not all vertices are moving with the armature.

I've followed the instructions to the T and tried this several times on two different machines both in Blender 2.45 and 2.46. Any suggestions?

All I really want to do is move the model's arms down to it's side. Which is a built in pose in MH, but I can't figure out how to export the model in one of the poses.

ok here is a possible solution
some times MH export the model,
and it doesnt quite match up with that armature
so just double check to make sure the the armature is centered on the body,
it may require that it be moved from
x0y0z0
so just moving the Z axis up or down a lil so that the arms are centered may work

Moving the armature didn't seem to work. I'm on a Mac and using the OS X version of MakeHuman and Blender, perhaps that is the problem. Who knows.
For the project I will end up using this for, I don't even need it to be poseable. It's just a frustrating bug to me.

I just wish you could export the mesh from MH in one of the poses, instead of just arms out at the side.
