I can't save obj

How can I save a file like obj file. I try some times but I failed. I have some question:
- I dld render engine - how can I making work?
- it is posible to edit that path?
- how?
In fact if someone has time and dispozition maybe he/she can help me with a step by step tut in order to export my works.
