How to you export to blender?

Postby js6seaj » Fri May 15, 2009 4:39 pm

How do you export a make human file to blender. Also I saved my file in make human, but it doesn't seem to list it under models.

press 'e' and you'll get:
1. export.obj
2. export.obj.mtl
3. export.bvh
These files are located in the same place as makehuman.exe

I have rendered a model in blender. But the eyes, eyelids and eyebrows weren't rendered correctly. It's strange, because when I activated Texture Paint mode in blender, they were shown correctly.
How can I render correctly?

@ b!d:

Try these material-settings:

blender1.jpg

Then your render should look like this:

blender2.jpg

thanks a lot ezteban!

I was becoming crazy trying to find the right set-up for materials/textures.
With your suggestion I was finally able to see a good rendering on blender.

Thanks also to all MH dev team. You semplified a lot the materials/textures importing procedure.
I was impressed by the quality of final rendering result compared to 0.9.1 version!

Bye enon

Moderators

You should make "etzebans" post a sticky, or even a very short Tutorial. I did the obvious and Googled "import MH to Blender" and found this tutorial here http://blenderunderground.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1038

Believe me it is a very long and tedious process that does not work well with MH 1.02

Thanks etzeban
