Background image ratio

HI everybody

I just try to put a back ground image "png" to follow it when modeling a mesh but my problem is that is image appear deformed i try some resolution
to obtain a good image but to gain time i just want o know il some one have an idea about the resolution the size and the ration i must use to have a non deformed image

The original background image is 1024x768, have you tried that?

thank you pistacja i try it but the result is the same this picture will show you my problem

The image is deformed and it hard to follow it while modeling a body or a face

It looks like the background image scales with the size of the program window. If you have a wide screen monitor try 8:5 or 16:9 aspect ratio, but that still won't be a perfect match. To get a perfect match I imagine that you'd have to make a screenshot and check exactly the size of the inside of the window (without the toolbar, the window frame, and the windows-start-bar)... or you can resize the window to get at least something at least close...

thank you pistacja i ve done as you suggested and it the result was good it just need some little adjustment .

And maybe in futur version it will be more suitable that the backgroud image will not be relative to all the screen so it will keep the ratio and avoid image deformation .
