unable to access clothes assets

Hi.
I am new to MH, but have already managed to create a figure that I downloaded as an stl. and printed. I am now having a problem in that designing a new figure, I am unable to clothe it except for a pair of Boots. :o It would appear that I may somehow have turned off access to the clothes assets. I still have access to all other assets.
Can someone suggest what I may have done wrong and how to correct it.
Thank you.

What is the operating system?
Are additional assets installed, such as through "Community —> Download assets"?

Thanks Tomcat.

I am using Windows OS. I have managed to download other items such as glasses, poses, hair, etc. and am able to add these to the new figure. It's just the clothes I am having problems with. The hair, teeth, eyes etc are all available. On looking up "geometries" , "clothes" for the new figure, the dropdown list only has boots that I downloaded before. nothing else. not even the glasses, etc. Am I looking in the wrong place? These items all appear to be in my data file when I check there.

You may have accidentally deleted a clothing folder or enabled a display filter (such as the "shoes" tag).

Check the enabled tags in "Geometry —> Clothes". And if they are off, make sure that there are clothes in the folder that are not displayed.

If there are clothes in the folder, this may be an error when downloading clothes containing a broken file, there is a recipe to fix it:

Hi Tomcat,

I've attached the screens as I can see them. I am not a frequent user of Python, so I may have to find an expert to make investigations or changes suggested. I am basically a retiree who wants to 3D print specific figures that I make myself. The first one worked fine. I have even uninstalled MH and as many asosciated files as possible. On reinstalling, the situation is the same.

The clothes I have downloaded are there, but the expected range that MH originates with are not visible. Also, those present in the file are not on a population list in the dropdown. I have no idea!

Is it likely to be possible for me to access what I need if I learn the Blender approach?

You can try these options:

  1. Replace the potentially problematic file filecache.py in the program folder ..\makehuman-community\makehuman\lib with the corrected one.
  2. Install the nightly build, which, as far as I understand, should contain the fix.
If that doesn't help, then wait for the developers to respond…

Thanks Tomcat,
I think I have done those two, but no changes. I'll have to enlist the help of someone who understands the system better than me.

Thanks ever so much for your help so far though. I don't want to not be able to use MH, as it appears to be the only one that does what I need.

Unfortunately I can't assume anything else… :(

After the first installation of MakeHuman was access to the clothes? After which it was gone?

I installed the nightly build and was able to access the clothes. Thanks!
