Measurements

Postby Phraxis » Wed Feb 17, 2021 12:55 pm

Hi everyone,

Just seen this programme advertised on a cosplay armour sculpting video and thought, this is perfect! I can create a life size scale of myself and crack on. Looking into this though, the measurements don't go high enough, so I can't actually add my dimensions. Granted, I have put on a little weight through lockdown, but a 16st guy at 5ft7 isn't exactly huge. My bust circumference, chest distance, waist circumference etc can't be input into the programme. Am I missing something, or should I look into another programme to replicate myself as a 3D model? If the latter, any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

Just a heads up on the way that measurements are actually calculated first off the makehuman modelling parameters have no units at all they are just a number between 0 and 1. Getting a real world measurement is calculated directly from the final mesh vertices so going backwards is really an interpolation that hopefully converges mathematically so it's just a guess really with lots of edge cases.

Enjoy the Choice :)
