How to pack multiple texture files into one

Postby Alperen661 » Tue Feb 16, 2021 5:11 pm

Hello, I want the get 1 texture file after I exported my 3D character but make human is giving me 8 texture file. İs there any option to get 1 texture file instead 7 or 8 texture files ? I need only one texture file
I actually deleted the software but if there is a option like this that I cant see, I will download it again

Thank you.

If is understand correctly, no, that is not really how things work.. It has a texture for the skin lets say, maybe also a normal texture for the skin. A texture for the teeth, a texture for the eyes, etc. I think you will find this is the case when dealing with 3D assets and is not a MakeHuman specific thing.
If you are taking the character into Unreal or Unity for example, you can 'truncate' things down to make an Atlas, but this requires all the textures to begin with just the same.

And all textures depend on the UV unwrap of the various meshes(3d objects).

actually in fuse there was a option like that but I cant use that software because I cant export anything it only gives me 0kb obj file without any texture. Also cant use Adobe fuse too because adobe also killed it.
I thought about there are some softwares expect fuse that can pack multiple texture files like fuse.
Are there any ?

It's possible to do in Blender by combining all the UV maps into a single surface, then using baking to create a single texture on that surface. It would be a lot of work, though.
