Problem when I press "Import Human" in MakeHuman plugin

Postby cadendurden06 » Thu Nov 05, 2020 8:40 pm

The version of blender I am using is 2.90.1
Every time I press "Import Human" button, it says:
CONNECTION REFUSED
Cannot connect to MakeHuman App!
Check settings in MPFB and MakeHuman.
Check security settings of the OS.
The version of MakeHuman app I am using is v1.1.1
The bit architecture I have is 64 bit, and the windows 10 version I have is 1909.

Greetings and Welcome!
Lets hope this is an easy fix!
Did you by chance make sure your makehuman is running and that the sockets are enabled? I enclosed an image showing what button needs a quick click to enable mh side.
Hope this helps? Let us know if you have any further issues. In general the windows version has proven quite stable thusfar, and sockets do work for myself, when i have used them a few times for testing :D

Also, 1.1.1 does not have the socket plugin bundled in the distribution. You would have to install the plugin manually.

But it will probably not work, due to that code:
Code: Select all
if isPy3:
    self.scriptText.setText('')
else:
self.scriptText.setText('This version of the socket plugin requires the py3 version of MH from github.')
    self.scriptText.setLineWrapMode(gui.DocumentEdit.NoWrap)

Hi. I have the same problem as descibed in OP. Im using Blender 2.92 and version 1.2.0 of MH.
My newbee question is where do I find the screen that you have put up to check the sockets? Ive search what I think is the obvious places in settings but I cant find it. Im presuming here that it is in MH not Blender?

Thanks
Antony

Greetings,

And welcome! Yes the socket is in makehuman on the community tab like shown in illustration. So makehuman-community-socket-click accept connections. All of this while blender is open of course,
Hope you get that to work for you!
