Local axis rotation on finger bones after importing in T-Pos

Postby bowidl » Sat Feb 29, 2020 8:18 am

Hello!

I imported a model rigged with a skeleton into Blender. At the time of import, the skeleton was in T-Pose. I'm using the "Default" rig preset.

From T-Pose pose, rotating any finger bone around its local x-axis results in a diagonal movement of the finger.
When I import the same model in A-Pose (aka "None" in makehuman), the movement is correct.

Please see the screens below. In both cases, the skeleton was in rest position and I rotated the bone "finger2-1.R" 45° around its local x axis. No bones other than the fingers seem to have this kind of problem. So it seems there is a problem with the rigging of the finger bones? I'm using the python alpha version of MakeHuman, version string is 1.2.0a3 Alpha3 (master:01ef382a)

Rest position in T-Pose. Although I rotated the highlighted bone only around its x-axis, the finger seems to have moved along both x and z axis, ie diagonally.

Rest position in A-Pose. Rotating the highlighted bone around its x-axis gives the expected result.
