MakeClothes 2 problem

So I made a simple pair of pants in Marvelous Designer as a test.

Then I imported the pants into Blender where I used MakeClothes 2 to bring them into MakeHuman. No problem.

Then I added the pants to my character in MakeHuman and exported it to FBX. For some strange reason the material seems to have been lost along the way.

Finally I imported the FBX into Blender. Somewhere along the line all the faces and edges seem to have been lost, leaving only the vertices.

Any idea what's gone wrong?

I'm Blender 2.80, MakeHuman 1.2.0alpha3 and the latest versions of the addons for Blender.

Just a guess but the fbx support is not the best mainly because Autodesk tells us nothing.

Enjoy the Choice :)

Hmm, interesting. I just tried to export it as a Collada file and it worked fine. But this doesn't explain why it works fine to export to FBX when I put on one of the outfits that come with MakeHuman, or clothes made with "extract clothes" in MakeClothes. There's got to be something weird about the mesh.

It's not the mesh it's what the fbx importer/exporter does to the mesh in internal calculations that no one in the Open source community can know as Autodesk the owners of fbx are a closed shop with commercial reasons to keep everything secret all we can do is reverse engineer fbx and hope we get it right for a few months then they change something again update their products and leave any Open Source project in the dust.

Enjoy the Choice :)
