game characters and mesh resolution

Hello,
I just wanted to first thank you guys for developing such an awesome tool. I have been using it as a starting point for making game characters for a game I am developing on my own. I've been using makehuman mainly for setting up the initial proportions, and then taking the mesh into zbrush for refinement. I then make a completely new mesh from scratch by hand to closely resemble the makehuman high rez version and bake down normal maps to the low rez mesh. My biggest bottleneck is building the low rez characters from scratch. If i take the makehuman mesh and use poly reducing tools, i get poor polygon flow, and mediocre results.
So, my question is whether or not there is a way to get a lower resolution mesh OBJ from makehuman (perhaps some command line or undocumented feature), so that I can have a low rez mesh that is near a perfect match to my high rez version. This would save me days of work per character.
Thanks! And again, extremely appreciative of the great tool!
