I don't understand.

Ummm. I am really very new to this and I don't understand what to do.
I downloaded makehuman and have been using it pretty successfully. I make myself. I'm pretty proud of that. lol. But i was wondering. How do I make them look human? Like give them skin tone or clothing? I assume that you need to make a texture for it. But what program do I use to do that? And how? Oh and what is a blender?
Help please, somebody. I'm so confused.

Cloths will be available in the next release... but when that's going to happen nobody knows. Apart from a really, really tight fitting jumpsuit most cloths will be rather additional geometry then just a texture, and for now the best way to make cloths is a 3d modelling program... and that's where Blender come in... not a blender but the Blender http://www.blender.org , it's a free 3d modelling program with a interface that can make you dizzy. There are other modelling programs but most of them are not free (like 3D Studio Max $3,5k).

If you want to change the skin tone I suggest using Gimp http://www.gimp.org it's like a free photoshop (with a interface that can make you dizzy, but not that dizzy like the blenders' one). The textures are in the /data/rib_data/textures_data/ directory.
This post was made thanks to Me, Myself and I.
