Either I'm very stupid or something. I clicked the link and downloaded but it's not an application it's only files. Can you give me a contact link? I've been trying to contact Makehuman all morning and I can't. All I get is the zipped folder. Wheres the app? I unzip the folder, but no app is installed. And Windows keeps saying it's harmful to my computer. I hope I'm posting in the right thread. I'm completely clueless.

Can I assume you are using M$ Edge as your web browser if so try either Firefox or chrome instead as for Windows saying it's dangerous that has been Microsoft's policy towards Open Source apps for ever in other words it's not M$ so forget about it.If you are getting just the zip file you are not getting the latest version at all as it does come with a windows installer look though the Docs & FAQ link at the top or on the Download page chose the 1.2.0 release it works Using that version myself on my laptop.

I'm using Chrome. When I hit the FAQ link I get the wiki. Where are the links on the wiki? It's the same with the download link it goes to the wiki. I'll try again, but if I can't find the link, I'll be back. Really my browser is Chrome.

It doesn't work. It goes back to the Wiki, and it only tries to download the zipped folder. I really wanted to use this. I'm using Chrome, so it's not my browser. What do I do next. I did click on the 1.2.0, but it's still the zipped folder. Don't tell me to try firefox, I hate switching browsers just for one program.

So did you read that wiki page about 1.2.0 down near the bottom of the page and yes it is a zip file which is done to minimise the bandwidth used within that zip you WILL find a Windows installer and as the text says makehuman will be properly place on the Start menu.

Yeah M$'s holier than thou attitude about non commercial apps can get annoying and the virus scanner companies can be just as bad one of the reasons that my primary work OS is Linux but then I've only been hacking computer code for 50 years First program solving quadratic equations for both real and unreal numbers way back when I still in secondary school in the late sixties.
