Hello!

Since I couldn't find on Makehuman the kind of hair I want for my character, and that any of you create your own, I wanted to do the same.

I spent the whole day learning how to create hair on my character in Blender, but I can't export it. The whole character is being exported, but not the hair.
I have no idea how to do it, Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

Greetings! Make sure the dummy you use for export is listed as human and the hair is assigned as clothing. Also what kind of hair have you created, is it particle based or a poly mesh object? Have you gone through the rest of the makeclothes piping process such as assigning hair to hair helper? Is the hair properly UV unwrapped etc. With more information on what you have created and how you are piping that hair we can likely help you much more :D good luck as seeing more hair in assets repository is a lovely thing

Hello Elvaerwyn,

I created this hair using particles. And I found out that it cannot be assigned as an object... :(

For the rest, Make clothes, hair helper... I have absolutely no idea what is it or how to get it... Blender is a very very difficult thing to master...

What does "UV unwrap" means?

Thanks a lot! :)

This is the best way to create hair in Blender, but there's no way to get particle hair into MakeHuman. This is not as bad as you think. Duplicate your character with hair and delete vertices until you have a sculcap.

This sculcap can be reused on other characters.

Well, I asked Google for "UV unwrap" and that's what I got: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UV_mapping

This is an alternative for hair which is compatible with makehuman: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16804

Not as flexible as particles, but also not as cumbersome as working directly with a mesh.

The end result will be somewhat cartoonish though.
