Cheek and Other Face Parameters Not Working?

This may sound like a real newbie question, but how do I change the parameters (Body Details --> Cheek parameters etc.)? I can get the thumbnails to show up but when I click on them, nothing happens. I know that it has something to do with targets, but can't find anything on the forums (thanks to "Targets" being "too general". Ugh). Help, anyone?

2. Move your mouse to the left or right.
