Newb Question - Dynamic Perspective

Postby Greyleaf » Thu Apr 24, 2008 11:03 pm

First of all ... I want to say that this program is a Godsend. It has a very reasonable learning curve, and has been invaluable in helping me with anatomy in my drawing ventures.

I was curious though; is there a way, either through this program or through another, to get dynamic views capitalize on perspective? Sort of like this: http://greyflame.deviantart.com/art/Rina-77955597 --- or, to a greater extent, something along the lines of: http://derlaine8.deviantart.com/art/Per ... n-11875915

I'm not super stressed about it. But it'd be fun to make those kind of references in 3D :) Any help would be grandly appreciated!

I think the view in HM is close to Orthographic so it has no or very little perspective.
But you can change the view in any 3d modelling program (like blender) you just have to toy a bit with the camera.
This is what I made in 10 minutes, it's far from being perfect but it demonstrates the principle (the checkboard ot the floor are square it's due to the perspective they look like that):http://pistacja69.deviantart.com/art/Perspective-83842002

Thanks, I'll take a look at Blender and see if I can get something working :)

Good luck. If it's your first try at Blender then you'll need all the luck you can get
