How to export w/out bones?

Postby javierdl » Mon Jan 11, 2010 5:58 pm

I just did my first export/import to Blender, yuppie! Thanks to mlferackers actually.

Once I had a closer look at the mesh I noticed it's filled with small diamonds-like shapes, I suppose they are meant to be bones in MH. But since I will add my own Armature (skeleton) in Blender I figure I should remove these shapes. They are a lot though.
Obviously the ideal thing would be if there was a way to export the mesh w/out these bones.

I'm a fellow newb but I just seen a similar question in blender irc and they said the diamonds were used to help the computer make certain measurements and could be deleted after export. I have no idea about exporting without them though.

It's not possible to export the mesh without the joint markers, at the moment.
Best,

Manuel

PS: They are the only elements with triangles (the rest of mesh is quads-only), and in future releases they will be not exported.

It is easier to delete the joints if you first hide the mesh: in edit mode, select a vert, Ctrl-L, H. Then you can box-select all joints, except in the head area.
