META File

Postby Andi » Sat Jan 13, 2018 2:33 pm

Hello, everyone,
First of all, excuse my bad English, I can hardly speak any.
Now to my problem.
I made a pose out of a model, with Blender. I can also export you to MakeHuman. It is also displayed there, but when I click on it, it will not be displayed. Now I read here somewhere that a pose should consist of three files, the bvh, meta and thumb files. So, the bvh file is there, but the meta file and the thumb is not.
How do I make the meta file?
Thank you very much
Andi

The thumb is a renamed 128x128 pix png file which must be created by your own. The meta file is probably dispensable. It contains license information, tag values for the tag filter, the author's name etc. You can find examples for meta files with the poses that come along with MakeHuman...

O.K. @aranuvier Thank you first. I have to see why this thing doesn't work.

A meta file is a simple text file, see for example:

https://github.com/makehumancommunity/m ... ght01.meta

My suggestion is to copy one of the existing ones and then use a text editor to change the fields.

O.K. Thank you, I will try and see.

Excuse me if this is a very stupid question, but I am a complete novice in the field.
Do I have to render the pose in Blender before I export it to Make Human?

No need to render in blender just do the export to bvh one frame only you can then render it within MH to generate your thumb nail pic as it's just a .png image with the .png changed to .thumb

Enjoy the Choice :)
