Customise data-folder directory

Postby PellePetimeter » Sat Apr 15, 2017 11:13 pm

I moved my datafolder to my dropbpx-folder to have the resources availible from more than one computer. Bad idea, because i can't find a way to set witch folder Make Human shall look inn. Surely there is a way?

Sorry it's coded directly if you want to have it available on an other PC just copy the makehuman folder to your dropbox account then copy it to the other PC a few more steps but it will work I just use a USB stick locally.

Enjoy the Choice :)

You can use the --home-location command line option to define a different folder where to create the makehuman's user data folder, though there might be limitations, when using network folders. In fact, I haven't tried this yet and would be interested in your results.

O.K. thanks! I might try that when I upgrade Ubuntu and shall install everything from scratch. Right now it doesn't have priority. :)
