Is there a way to easily convert to 3ds max biped?

Postby cj31387 » Sat Jun 14, 2014 10:07 am

Just like to say first, this program is AWESOME. I've always wanted a program like this ever since I played the Sims, I think more people should make programs that make game dev assets easy to make, like a gun maker kitbasher, or building and prop kitbasher. This program is awesome for human characters. I think if possible it should be extended to non human characters like what spore did.

But anyways I see that the character rig is bones. Is there a easy way to export them as 3ds max biped bones? Because there are a lot of free animation clips for biped. Actually I don't really know how rigging works at the moment I never got into it, if there is no easy way to convert to biped is the bone standard able to receive mo-cap clips or is the rig too specific? I would like to not have to animate as much as possible since its only usable for THIS models bones, I want to use a standard like biped? Thanks in advance.

I have not much experience with MAX, but I think it should be fairly simple to map the bones of a MH rig to a biped rig.
Perhaps it needs a T-pose, in which case you'll need to take a detour (there is a tutorial how to do it in blender).
MakeHuman will have T-pose export in the future.
