Enable IK Rigging from MH to Blender

Postby KidCali » Tue Jun 03, 2014 1:42 am

Hi Everyone,

I'm working on a game, so I originally thought to use the game.json preset, but it seems that there is no IK rigging included. So, I exported with humanik.json enabled to Blender. But the problem in Blender is that I can't see any IK bones to animate with once I've imported the MH model. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

The MHX blender scripts have buttons to create FK rigs or make them visible. There's a few buttons hidden in the N or T panels, if you enable the plugins you'll see them. I don't know the specifics since I haven't used the blender scripts lately, and I believe it's all a bit too new to have decent documentation.
Also, the MHX export will give you the most features in Blender, it's up to you to decide whether you need them.

HumanIK is a software, and that rig is for easy compatibility with that software. But I believe most rigs have IK capabilities in Blender (the default one certainly does)
