A kind of "cage/clothes solution" to make easy use of hair particles easier:
To make the hair of models look good and interact I use particles. MIght be an idea to have a solution like clothes for hair, just by adding an extra mesh object based on the edited model to have hair close/on the model to add particles to(skull top ), saving time in blender to not create one.

Just out of curiousity: Why do you have to model a skull top? What's wrong with using the character's mesh and a vertex group?

Thanks for your response. Off course you're totally right that that's the way to go.

My thought at the time was primarily based upon the level a starting animator needs to have, information he/she needs and steps they need to take to use and get oversight of the in's and out's of Make human. To make things more logical for them: mesh MH, mesh for shirt, shoes etc, so also a mesh for hair.

It is not that easy for a newbie to understand all options and make good choices, especially considering hair choices/options, rig (adjustments), import/export etc. in for example Blender, and know how to use all these/work with, in Blender.

Since Make Human is under constant development, as well as Blender, options change and therefore correct information is changing, The given information is quite a lot to comprehend, it’s not always up to date or unambiguous for the published version. So it’s difficult to find out what to do and how to do it for them. In other words, to find the right info, understand the options, make correct choices, take the right procedural steps, experiment and find out the best practices for their situation/wants, to export, import, and work with a.o. brows, hair, eyelashes, textures etc.

Just thought this might be an option to help them, as well as Make human to reach a broader audience by making things easier to understand. More users, more combined effort or possibilities to reach support, find funds etc. etc…In my day job I often encounter the consequences of an information gap between developers and users…

I've been thinking about creating a tutorial, or a set for them, but since things will change it the near future thought it’s probably better to wait, also some one closer to the development team will probably be better at doing it.

Advanced users will know how to deal with things, so won’t be bothered by an extra option.
