Import into poser

Postby LeoDeo » Mon Dec 03, 2012 2:36 am

I want to know if its possible to work with MakeHuman models onto to poser. I did this before, but, it just came out as a prop. Someone please help. Because I want to know if I am doing any of this right. I really want to use MakeHuman models onto poser, so that I can apply poses and expressions to the model. Because I dont think you can apply poses in MakeHuman the same way you do like Poser does.

Short answer: no.

There are both political and technical problems with this. You can export a rigged character from MH with collada, but I think poser will ignore the rig and just make it a prop anyway.

There is a work around of sorts. This figure has been rigged for DAZ Studio:

You can export it to Cr2 from DS, and then open it in Poser, applying your MH figure as a morph. You might have to adjust the rigging and you will probably have to run your MH OBJ through DS to get the scaling right, however.
