I didn't receive a replay to my e-mail so I'm posting here.

I’m a Maya / Zbrush user and I’d like to help, but in a certain area if permitted. I have noticed the base-topology is not optimized for animation or sculpting as it could be. The same applies to the UV layout and mouth/ teeth interior. I would like to help develop a more quadratic or optimized edge-loop model. After inspecting the maketarget2.2 base (Zmesh) I see that topology is much improved. I think a Zbrush poly groups UV layout option should be included to allow the center of the face to be selected and hidden to so the inside of the mouth can be sculpted/modified easily.

I know you need help with the data base but I’m relatively a newbie in sculpting faces/ bodies, but from technical stand point I could assist in topology. I used MH only for a few characters in my work but did much editing on the topology to remove triangles so I wouldn't have to worry about ‘stars’. Desirable topology is Key in my opinion.

I know that this is an ancient thread, but just to clarify, you're in need of accomplished 3d mesh artists not wannabes? :D

I noticed in the to-do list, a 3d entry about anime models, and a 2d entry about anime classification.

I also noticed something about making targets from obj files?

I would like some more information and details about these areas. If the target-from-obj is what I suspect, then I think that if the target-from-obj were completed, i could contribute and make a sizable dent in potentially both of the anime related categories....

There are two maketarget tools, one using blender: http://www.makehuman.org/doc/node/makin ... ender.html

There is also a standalone tool that works with OBJ files. See here how to use it:
http://www.makehuman.org/doc/node/creat ... alone.html

You can find it in the tools/standalone folder on svn, or on the google code download page you can download a windows version.

You can drop custom targets you create in the data/custom folder, to test them out in MakeHuman (You'll find them in the Modeling > Custom tab)
