Low-poly teeth

Postby ThomasL » Sat May 12, 2012 7:30 am

I made a new piece of clothing today: low-poly teeth with a normal map.

The main purpose is to cut down the poly-count of exported meshes; the number of useful vertices (excluding helpers) is reduced from 14596 to 11820 for body + teeth combined. The result looks quite nice, I think.

The teeth clothes can be downloaded from https://www.makehuman.org/node/382.

Nice work!

Good to see that the clothes upload function works too. I really hope we can open that up to the public sooner rather than later.

Very very nice indeed.
I was planning something like this too, but you were faster :)

I'm still planning on fixing the UVs of the ascottk proxy a bit. They create some artifacts in some places.

Do these replace the original teeth?
Awesome!
