Saurischian Topology and Rig

Hello everyone...

I'm in the process of building a character for my second novel http://nuegua.geekopolis.ca and I'm wondering if anyone is interested in a 'saurischian' or 'reptilian' topology.

Creating a three-toed, three-fingered, almond-eyed Reptilian (go to Google and type in 'Draconian alien' to see what I mean) is actually quite easy, and can be done with the base mesh. However, I want to make a more accurate Tyrannosaurus Rex leg and foot, and for that I need to create a custom rig.

The toe bones of a T-Rex are now considered unique among all Earth vertebrates, and that is the argument for their speed and dexterity. My creature needs this for my story, and I thought I could share the results of my work. :geek:

So...is this a target? or a topology? Can we add a rig to User Contributions? ;)

It sounds like topology + rig. Topologies you can add now, but the rig part of the contribution areas is still under construction. Basically I'll need to get some time to spare to test through the procedure to be certain I don't forget something important before accepting contributions.

Here is a fun Saturday project, an upgrade on this model.

I was experimenting with IK Target controls for the face rig, and got a very good smirk out of it. It's a bit cartoony, but that was my goal.

The original model was one of the first Blendswaps; I simply subsurfed it, and worked on the rig.
