For some time now I am thinking about a tool that I would call MakeSkin. The goal is to simplify the production of textures for MakeHuman characters. These textures should be personalized and in some way unique. For exaple through details like scars and so on.
So here I want to collect ideas and sketches and develop a useful tool to do that.
3 thing we should pay attention:
1. General workflow and intergration into MakeHuman.
2. Ressources (Simple "layers" like Bitmaps, etc. or python scripts that are generating the details.)
3. Placement (Drag and drop?)
What are you thinking about it?
Greetings

Rather than a tool a few high resolution base textures in various skin tones with layers of thing like wrinkles, blemishes and a few drop-able scars in a gimp file would do the job. You wouldn't have to develop a tool and you'd have a very complete image editor to work with.
if you wanted realtime 3d updating you could just use a bridging program.
