First of all, a long time fan of makehuman!
But my love would be complete if the plugin could export cycles material as well as Blender internal. It would save me much time fixing nodes. With Blender 2.70 everything can translate and more including SSS.

It does if you install the latest MHX version in the blender plugins directory.

  • If your blender installation has a plugin called "io_import_scene_mhx" or similar in the addons/plugins directory, then delete that (in fact, delete everything with "MHX" in it's name in the plugins directory)
  • Download blendertools from the bottom of this page
  • Install and enable blendertools in blender ... ation.html (ignore the slightly outdated version information)
  • In blender, switch to cycles mode before importing an MHX model

NOTE that I am uncertain if what I tested was the "unstable" nightly build, but I think it was a release build. If I'm wrong, you'll have to download any "unstable" from here and use the blendertools that comes with it.

Anyway, this worked pretty decently when I tested a while back, but I haven't followed the changes lately, so something might have happened to it.

This version of mhx importer doesn't give you cycles materials. The importer that comes with MH unstable does.
