using the same animation for multiple mh models

it would be cool if somebody could write code so animations could be auto-adjusted to work for any shape of rig. i think that should be possible and it would be the kind of feature that would greatly increase the usefulness of makehuman. for example in a game it would be easier to have multiple body types

Export animation as bvh.
Load and retarget animation with MakeWalk.

Indeed, this tool already exists.
MakeWalk was designed exactly for this.
