unable to allocate texture

[driAllocateTexture:636] unable to allocate texture


I have tried the latest ubuntu svn as well as a prebuilt package. I get the above error as well as a few others such as cannot open data/3dobject/blah The human comes up but only about half has skin texture and the left side is mostly black.??

Can you post or mail the output of glxinfo? It looks like either the texture is too big for you (in pixels, 2048x1024), or you don't have enough memory.
