MakeHuman - Makehuman won't start

Postby Simmon24 » Mon Oct 14, 2024 5:45 pm

Hey, I'm new to this forum. I've been using the program for about 2 weeks now. Not so long ago I had to reinstall the system and reinstall applications on the computer including Makehuman and for some time now this application is not able to start, even though I had no problem with it before.
I'm using a desktop computer with Windows 10 Home 22H2 – 64bit
My graphic card - AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP[/b]
I only use a dedicated graphics card.
Other than that, my computer only "sees" a dedicated graphics card.

My version of Makehuman is 1.3.0
I installed the previous version and it also won't start
P.S - File python_out is empty.

It is difficult to know what happens here, but the error message indicates that a DLL file cannot be found. Why this is so is not written, not which DLL file we're talking about. It might be a driver for the graphics card or a openql or qt file which was bundled with makehuman.

My suggestion would be to remove all traces of makehuman (uninstall it, delete all directories which were installed previously) and then try to make a fresh start. If that does not work, I'd next start looking at if something is wrong with the graphics drivers.

Thank you for the answer, but the problem seems to have solved itself, right after I installed the Steam applications,... Strange, isn't it? :?:
