Need help installing on Ubuntu 8.04 64-bit

Postby Thelrion » Mon Aug 11, 2008 4:06 am

I'm one of those irritating folks that have very little clue on how software works. I'm a great big fan of Ubuntu and Blender. I've been using the 64-bit version of Ubuntu because I added 4 gigs of memory to my system.

In any case, I can't figure out how to get makehuman to install on my system. 'Cause I'm stupid. I set up a partition with Ubuntu 32-bit, and it works fine on that.

I hate rebooting just to use one program, though.

In any case, I downloaded the .deb files from here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... _id=211091
And I can go no further.

If anyone could tell me how to install this on my 64-bit system, you'd make my night, week, and possibly the next few months.
