Auto-configure from background image

If only there was a way to scan and auto-generate from background image(s). Pardon me in case I've already posted this suggestion. So many sliders, gauges, etc...

There was a guy who worked on a project with generating from a set of photos. Unfortunately he chose a very restrictive license making it largely unusable in an open source context. There was a forum thread a while back, but I can't find it right now.

There is nothing of the kind in the MH software as such though.
