Postby yalazur » Fri Jul 29, 2022 3:15 pm

Currently, im trying to make a tubular skirt and this is how its look like

just incase image doesnt work: https://i.imgur.com/kx8rRrO.png

i wanna tweak the falloff of the thigh bones, but vertex groups are used for identifiers in blender, so, how do i do it?

i look at the docs for the vertex weight and to be honest idk what its talking about, do i need to know java script to be able to edit the weights?

and i looked at default asset, and they have this exact problem, maybe its by default and cant be changed?

I think you need this extra tool: https://github.com/black-punkduck/MakeHuman-Helpers
This can export a .mhw file which you should place next to your .mhclo file. So let's say your clothes is called Blabla.mhclo, edit that file and add this line:

vertexboneweights_file Blabla.mhw

I usually put it after the .obj and .mhmat references, like this:
Code: Select all
basemesh hm08
# Basic info:
name Blabla
tag skirt
obj_file Blabla.obj
material Blabla.mhmat
vertexboneweights_file Blabla.mhw
uuid C8D6FA78-1A93-4B3C-89C6-A3992C0A7859

x_scale 12839 12860 0.06
y_scale 12828 12888 0.05
z_scale 11609 12442 0.20
max_pole 4
...
