This just happened to me as well!
I re-synchronized my assets and doing so wiped out my clothing collection completely!
I also clicked onto another tab or two during the download and maybe this is what messed it up!
Here is what's on the filesystem:
$ ls makehuman/data/clothes/
fedora01 female_elegantsuit01 male_casualsuit02 male_casualsuit05 male_worksuit01 shoes03 shoes06
female_casualsuit01 female_sportsuit01 male_casualsuit03 male_casualsuit06 shoes01 shoes04
female_casualsuit02 male_casualsuit01 male_casualsuit04 male_elegantsuit01 shoes02 shoes05
Here is what it shows in the program: zilch.
I used to be able to choose clothing and apply them to the figure before this.
I tried the advice regarding filecache.py from the other thread and it had no effect whatsoever.
I start Makehuman from the shell with "python3 makehuman.py"
I see these errors repeatedly appear in the console btw
qt.gui.icc: Unsupported ICC profile class 70727472
QPngHandler: Failed to parse ICC profile
I think I will reinstall in a fresh directory and start over
Ok, I found advice in another thread to use the github tag 1944525e
git clone
https://github.com/makehumancommunity/makehuman.gitgit checkout 1944525e
Then after reinstalling makehuman using that version it's looking better, I can see the clothing I downloaded before, I guess they are stored outside of the main codebase somewhere
