It seems meshlab dislikes any wavefront export with clothes, regardless of whether they are produced with mass produce or not. Maybe it's not happy with multiple overlapping surfaces?
Wavefront obj files are simple text files with coordinate information. I don't see what could go so horribly wrong in one that it would cause a segfault. Also, blender opens the exported files without any protests.
There seems to be a confirmed error in meshlab regarding some types of meshes, see for example
