Display of screen in Makehuman 1.2.0

When starting make human 1.2.0 I get the attached picture (see screenshot)
It is a Laptop with Linux mint 19.2, Intel Core i5 -560 M , ATI Radeon HD 5650 ,250 G SSD.
When clicking on the menues the far left and the right border change, but the middle shows only the start picture.
Can you help me ?

Could you post the log file it'a at /home/Documents/makehuman/v1py3 that should give us much more info.
