Input macros with keyboard

Is there any way to enter macro values with the keyboard in the modeling tabs? Or can the program be made to enable that? I'm asking in case someone doesn't have a mouse.

Would require a complete refactoring of the input code and since we use QT5 that just may not be available though the slider values are just numbers between 0-1 and can be edited in the save file which are just text files.BTW macro is a very specific word dealing with the entry of multiple commands not keystrokes to one input field.
